Samyang Corp. (CEO Choi Nag-hyun) announced its participation in 'Fine Food Australia (FFA)', an international food exhibition held in Sydney, Australia, for four days from the 8th to the 11th.

FFA is Oceania's largest international food exhibition, showcasing the latest trends and technologies across various food categories including food, meat, seafood, bakery, and dairy products. Celebrating its 41st anniversary this year, the exhibition features over 900 companies from 45 countries worldwide.

Participating for the first time, Samyang Corp. will focus on promoting the quality and technological prowess of its alternative sweetener, Allulose, and its optimal customized solutions. Having been the first allulose producer globally to receive 'Novel Food' approval in Australia and New Zealand last year, and currently being the exclusive supplier of allulose in the region, Samyang Corp. plans to leverage this exhibition to enhance brand awareness and further expand its sales channels.

At its booth, Samyang Corp. will offer tasting samples of cereal bars and gummy jellies, which utilize allulose to reduce calories and sugar content while achieving a soft sweetness. This aims to help visitors understand the product and accelerate efforts to secure new clients through aggressive promotional activities.

Allulose is an alternative sweetener that provides about 70% of the sweetness of sugar but contains zero calories. Samyang Corp. developed liquid allulose based on its proprietary enzyme technology in 2016 and has been supplying allulose under the brand name 'Nexweet' both domestically and internationally since 2021. Last year, the company completed a comprehensive specialty plant in Ulsan, establishing Korea's largest production facility with an annual capacity of 13,000 tons.

Samyang Corp. is accelerating the expansion of its overseas sales channels for specialty ingredients. From the 3rd to the 5th, at the 'Fi-India' food ingredients exhibition in India, the company collaborated with local distributors to promote allulose along with **Indigestible Maltodextrin**, a dietary fiber specialty ingredient. Indigestible Maltodextrin will also be exhibited at 'Fi-Asia Thailand', which will be held in Thailand for three days from the 17th to the 19th.

**Indigestible Maltodextrin** is a water-soluble dietary fiber and a health functional food ingredient that can help with △smooth bowel movements △suppression of post-meal blood sugar increase △improvement of blood triglyceride levels. Samyang Corp. believes this ingredient can create synergy with allulose and produces liquid and powder forms under the brand name 'Fiberest'.

Lee Sang-hoon, Head of Samyang Corp.'s Food BU, stated, "Samyang Corp. is committed to maximizing the advantage of being the exclusive supplier of allulose in Australia and New Zealand by participating in local food exhibitions to enhance brand awareness and secure sales channels. We will continue to actively participate in food exhibitions in various countries and proactively pursue global regulatory approvals to preempt new markets."
